Alveo provides API calls to seamlessly integrate your system with our clearinghouse. Available calls currently include traditional X12 ANSI transactions such as 270/271 eligibility transactions, 837 claim submission, unsolicited 277 payer report retrieval, and 835 ERA retrieval.

In order to use one of our API offerings, you will need an Alveo assigned API-Key and API-Secret which you will send in the headers of your API calls.

How to obtain your API-KEY

Contact Alveo and request the WebPortal page “Manage API Keys”. This page is where you will receive your API-Key and generate your API-Secret.

How to use your API-Key

Add your API-Key and API-Secret in the header section of every call to Alveo’s API. The only exception is the “/ping” endpoint which does not require authentication.
